CCHD Newborn Screening may detect other diseases

#Newborn #Screening identifies conditions that could affect a child's long term health or survival and is the practice of testing #newborn for potentially fatal disorders that are not otherwise apparent at birth.
Critical Congenital Heart Disease newborn screening detects a low percentage of new cases of CCHD, but can detect other important diseases. CCHD represents a group of heart defects classified as coarctation of the aorta, D-transportation of the great arteries, hypoplastic left heart syndrome and many that cause life-threatening symptoms. It is estimated to affect one out of every 4,800 babies born each year in the U.S.
Newborn screening was done using the American Academy of Pediatrics CCHD newborn screening algorithm. To know more, please follow: https://bit.ly/2rccvgp

  1. There's generally no single test to analyze immune system illness. You must have specific indications joined with particular blood markers and now and again, even a tissue biopsy.
